Students will begin to appreciate geography as they are introduced to different kinds of maps and the useful information that they convey. After learning about map features, students will be introduced to geographic coordinates and some commonly used coordinate reference systems, before being challenged to identify the coordinates of various locations using Google Earth on the Web. After discovering azimuths and the different representations of North, students will use their knowledge of maps and navigation in a scavenger hunt to find the hidden location of the LINGO Robot!
